Courtney A. Goodchild, DC
Dr. Goodchild is originally from Northwest Iowa where he grew up in a close-knit family. He attended the University of Northern Iowa where he graduated with an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. Since a young age, he was certain he wanted to be in the medical field. Dr. Goodchild's mother is an Occupational Therapist and Co-owner of a sports rehabilitation clinic in Storm Lake, Iowa. Because of this, Dr. Goodchild grew up in the world of patient rehabilitation and has a passion for fitness, health, and helping other people.
Following his time at UNI, Dr. Goodchild applied to, received acceptance, and started his chiropractic journey at Palmer Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. After 3 ½ years of additional schooling, Courtney graduated, moved to Dubuque, and married his college sweetheart, Nikki, to have a great ending to the 2017 year. When he’s not working with patients, Dr. Goodchild likes spending time with his family as well as biking, hunting, fishing, camping and anything involving the Iowa Hawkeyes (GO HAWKS!).
Dr. Goodchild is eager to start serving the Dubuque community and providing quality, patient-centered chiropractic care at Function First Chiropractic. He believes in a team approach to a patient’s healthcare to produce the best patient outcomes. There is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Whether it be a need for sports physicals, neck pain, back pain, sciatica, rib pain, headaches, shoulder pain, or radiating pain; Function First will work together to get you back to your best self.
Dr. Goodchild is a graduate of the world-renown Palmer College of Chiropractic.
